Back-office systems and databases that coordinate activities among border crossings, including systems that collect and disseminate data to other government systems and users, and systems that support programs such as FAST, ACE, Nexus. The Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) is the commercial trade processing system for US Customs and Border Protection. It supports import/export cargo processing and enforcement operations at the border.
