Emergency ManagementDuring evacuation scenarios coordinate use of the traffic control systems with regional transportation authorities, Ministry of Transportation, and municipal traffic managers.
During evacuation scenarios coordinate with the local governments and Ministry of Transportation for use of maintenance or construction resources.
The Provincial Emergency Preparedness Centre (PEPC) coordinates the distribution of alert notifications with other public safety agencies and with the Ministry of Transportation. These alerts may describe child abductions, severe weather events, civil emergencies, and other situations that pose a threat to life and property. The alert includes information and instructions for transportation system operators and the travelling public, improving public safety and enlisting the public's help in some scenarios.
