Descripton
The system estimates and manages performance metrics for provincial and municipal highways derived from commercial vehicle GPS based data. The system incorporates database and GIS mapping data and can provide real-time traveller information data relating to traffic conditions on the monitored road network. Available data includes yearly collision data, real-time Weigh-in-Motion (WIM data) and travel times from GPS equipped commercial vehicles, as well as derived hard-braking data relating to quickly decelerating commercial vehicles.
