Service Package DiagramDescription
This service package, focused on MTQ operated traffic signals, provides the central control and monitoring equipment, communication links, and the signal control equipment that support local surface street control and/or arterial traffic management. A range of traffic signal control systems are represented by this service package ranging from fixed-schedule control systems to fully traffic responsive systems that dynamically adjust control plans and strategies based on current traffic conditions and priority requests. Plans and stategies may be implemented to support goods movement, particularly commercial traffic to and from intermodal terminals.
Coordination of traffic control plans and stategies with other agencies is shown in ATMS07.
